Have you ever heard of WWASH? It’s an acronym that stands for Water, Waste, Sanitation and Hygiene, and it is one of the key areas of investment for organizations such as UNICEF who are committed to improving global health.

To support markers associated with WWASH, Africa Foundation has been collaborating with community leaders and donors to provide better access to safe water, such as drilling boreholes with water reticulation and piping systems. These systems cover the design, operation and maintenance of water distribution, storm water and wastewater collection.

We also help to reduce the burden of carrying water to the women, children and the elderly by supplying Hippo Water Rollers – 90 liter robust rolling barrels with handles used to push or pull them over rough rural terrain.
