Small actions compound to make a big difference!

———-

Today, Africa Foundation’s ECHO stewards placed at Bhekamangwane Primary School in Mnqobokazi community helped with planting some green pepper seedlings in the school’s small vegetable garden. The activity which would have taken one person several hours, was completed in under 30 minutes with so many helping hands!

Small gardens such as this one help to ensure food security – an issue more important than ever with the emerging impacts of climate change. Africa Foundation is actively pursuing projects, such as localised climate-wise agriculture and gardens, to help improve the ability of communities to respond to the changes that they are being faced with.
